Føn Energy Services collaborated with a crane technology company on a groundbreaking project to develop a universal self-erecting crane, aimed at revolutionizing installation, maintenance, re-powering, and decommissioning of both offshore and onshore wind turbines. 

This innovative project utilized the wind turbine tower as part of the crane mechanism, thereby reducing dependency on traditional jack-up installation vessels.
